Mechanics from the Philippines

Eddy Nesdoly, our Human Resources Manager and Ron Foth, our Shop Manager went to Manila in the Philippines in August 2011 to recruit mechanics and welders.

Two mechanics have already joined our team, Bartolome Rome and Lorito P. Bermodes.

Bartolome joined us a few months after our trip over there. He thinks that life is better here and he enjoys working with Q-Line Trucking and feels very welcome. The Filipino-Canadian Association of Saskatoon helped him a lot at the beginning. When we asked to Bartolome “what is the most memorable experience you have had since you came?”, the first thing that came in his mind was the snow!

Lorito joined us later in April 2012. Lorito said: “It was a long process for immigration. But I am glad I am here now. I was aware of what it would be like to live in Saskatchewan”.

Q-Line Trucking is still waiting for other mechanics to come from the Philippines.
